Off the sauce for the past week and a half.

The detoxes have gotten easier. I still feel like **** for the first few days, but the urge to drink is not so overwhelming.

At least for me, the so-called alcohol withdrawals aren't really withdrawals so much as they are the consequence of the de-numbing of that which I was using booze to numb.

Today is one of those days when I really want a drink.

I thought about going and picking up a bottle of wine.

If I do that though I can't possibly know how or when it will end.

So, I picked up a 6-pack of alcohol free beer instead.

Just cracked the first one.
