    Exactly.

Obama is a corporate fascist agent of finance capital.

Socialism is not the correct way of describing him.

Barack Obama is who you're talking about, right?

Why do so many Americans hate socialism so much? Look at country's like France and norway, a nice balance between socialist and capitalist and look how well they are doing.

France is only doing well compared to America. Norway has a small population and a ton of oil.

not so, someone can be both a socialist and a fascist or neither, but one is a school of economic thought that is independent of politics, the other is a political concept and ideal.... but socialism is a school that has never succeeded in the long run...

the problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of everyone ELSE'S money...

capitalism and socialism cannot by definition, exist at the same time.... this "hybrid" that you speak of is just part of the transition state from rewarding progress to rewarding laziness

Oh right, and all that hard work here is really paying off? I mean 50+ million people without health insurance, not too mention the millions more that are underinsured.

BTW, how come many of the best countries to live (places with the highest standard of living) have some sort of balance between the two? Sweden for example. The standard of living in the US is **** compared to some of these countries. We don't even take care of our own people. The sick and elderly being evicted from their homes (and in some cases shot to death if they refuse to leave).

50+ years of anti-communist propaganda. Socialism has become a bad word here, even worse than the terms "atheist" and "gay."
