Let me break it down for you, bro.
He got sodomized in the Champions League group stage with Chelsea. He was rewarded with a spot in the Europa League, a tournament designed for bums.
The way the Europa League works is, the faster you get eliminated, the more bit of dignity you leave with. Rafa made Chelsea the Champions of the Europa League. Crowning them as the bums of Europe. Winning a tournament that they got in by losing.
The year before Rafa took a Champions League winning Inter side and turned them into scrubs. To this day, Inter are rebuilding what Rafa destroyed.
As Spark would say, The fat Spanish waiter is a joke.
In fact, the Europa League was a triumph for Rafael Benetiz, not Chelsea football club. He did all he could do after they embarrassed English football yet again in the Champions League.
As for Inter. Mourinho did his usually disappearing act after a team had peaked and was set to hit a decline. Rafa was left to clean up his mess. Look at where Inter are now. Mourinho knew he'd have no money so, like the puzzy he is, he left before things got tough.
Rafa is a good coach and a good man. I loved when he owned Slur Alex with "Fahcts" and owned the Chelsea fans by achieving his objectives.

Rafa will never win another league title because he suffers from paralysis by analysis.
If he was manager at Barcelona you could guarantee those possession stats would slip like a mother****er. He is far more concerned with what the other team is doing.
I don't think he was great at Chelsea: we lost to QPR, nearly lost to Brentford, and threw away a shedload of comfortable leads and he achieved the impossible by losing the Club World Championship.
Chelsea have some great players in their prime. That is the only reason we stumbled to 3rd.
Mourinho will show the world the difference in quality between the managers. If we had Mourinho last year we would have had a record breaking season. Not the league obviously, Chelsea aren't good enough to win the league. But we would have won a Super Cup, Charity Shield, World Club Championship, League Cup, possibly an F.A Cup and went deep-ish in the Champions' League.
Benitez's spell not a complete disaster. But I don't give him that much credit. He's not very good. And it is worth noting that it's not like he had free reign to bring in players during his short stint otherwise Chelsea would have been playing with 8 left-backs.
His teams are functional and average.Last edited by Sparked_26; 06-22-2013, 09:27 AM.

He did do well against Jose but again that is more because he completely sacrificed any real ambition 'play' and cancelled out Chelsea and obviously they were incredibly lucky.
You can't praise Benitez for that and rubbish Chelsea for beating teams much better than us to win a CL. It is what it is.
Benitez is good at setting up against good teams to get a result. He is bad at setting up against weaker teams to win a game. That's why he's not good enough for the big dogs.
You can just imagine him losing sleep about how to contain Jason Puncheon or some **** when Chelsea played Southampton. When Mourinho wouldn't give someone like that a second thought.

Oh dear. Benetiz was working with the likes of Djimi Traore and Vladimir Smicer. Yeah that's the same as having a billion pound squad of course....

He is the most aggressive manager when it comes to making subs to win a game.
Mourinho's Chelsea team was expansive with Duff and Robben. Not so much in the 2nd season when Chelsea won the league playing in 1st gear and teams parked the bus and Chelsea didn't care because they knew they'd win anyway because the fear factor was so high at that stage.
Also, thhat Chelsea team that won the CL was fucking ****. I don't care how much they cost. When you're given lemons you make lemonade. They defended brilliantly.
Do you know what would happen if Arsenal went 2-0 down to Barca in the Nou Camp and were reduced to 10 men and you had to play a crap full back as centre-half? They'd get absolutely drilled and you know it.
So for the 'billions' Chelsea have gained a winning mentality - something Arsenal haven't had for years!

I remember his substitutions being distinctly un-aggressive in last season's Champions League semi-finals against Bayern at home and it cost Madrid the match.
The guy is a fraud.
