I checked a chelsea forum and said if Monaco want Ivanovic for 25M They can have him. He sucks as a rb and is sub-par as a cb anyways. Puts in the occasional fornight top class performance but consistently sub par.

They flip out and claim he is world class and shouldn't be sold even if we got Subotic or Bonucci or something. My goodness. There is a reason Chelsea couldn't defend for shyt and it ain't Luiz either. These guys were straight memes.

I'd sell Ivanovich for that much.

He is one of those players that always tries his best and puts his body on the line so fans love that which is why people overrate his actual ability.

I really like Luiz too and maybe he is a future captain of Chelsea but he has his price too especially for a centre half. If Barca give us £35 million Chelsea should take it and then we can get a specialist defensive midfielder or a functional no-nonsense centre-half or both.

Chelsea are good at bringing in players but they need to know when to let them go too. Chelsea need a bit of functionality in that team. If we can find a Riccy Carvalho in his prime he'd improve the team massively. I don't believe a top centre half should be that hard to find. Especially not in comparison to a striker - there is no guarantee that a top striker will ever work out as Chelsea well know.

No short term fixes either. No idea why Chelsea would want Daniele De Rossi.

The good thing is that Schurrle and a new striker aside. Chelsea need destroyers and leaders. It is Mourinho's strength in identifying those sort of guys.
