This was a great win for England. There biggest win for over 20 years. I for one was proud of that performance. They showed courage and a maturity seldom seen by an England team.

England made a huge statement of intent last night.

I do think I could play for San Marino if I got my fitness up to a better level.

Not that that is saying anything, any reasonably fit adult male under 40 who has played football at Sunday League level could probably play for them. It is not like you have to be any good due to the way they set up. With 9 men defending the 18 yard box, they're just bodies who need to be able to jockey, twist and turn and get blocks in. No actual football skill needed, and what they do is hardly football.

I give them no credit. They might as well play three up front and hoof the ball up to them, that would show more desire.

Also I would hazard a guess that some of their players are probably pretty decent. They play a lot of footy at least but if you're just defending the penalty area you don't need to be a good. They might as well choose the tallest, biggest players and play them.
