  • Schmeichel is the best GK in the Prem years. Longevity, trophy's, and being the only GK to win Player of the Season.

    Accolades speak for themselves.

5 titles, 3 FA Cups, Treble winner with the Champions League. Ridiculous.

Not to mention he won the Euros with Denmark.

Cech, Seaman, VDS, De Gea are all great, but beating Schmeichel takes some doing.

    • I can have Schmeical maybe but you can’t be putting De Gea into a conversation it’s like having Hazard down as a premiership legend. He just isn’t.

It is about longevity and success really. And it’s the Dane and the Czech way out in front.

Cech, 4 league titles, 5 F.A Cups, 3 league cups, 1 Champions League, 1 Europa
      League.

Once conceded 15 goals in an entire season in the league

      • Cech had not only one of the best defences in front of him but was in one of the best defensive teams. He didn't have a great deal to do in that 15 goals conceded season.

I actually think de gea is the best but doesn't have the medals.

Schmeichel was great, had the biggest presence but got lobbed a few too many times.

        Van Der Sar was good

        Ian Walker was the best.

        • The way United is playing now makes me think no elite team is gonna touch Mourinho this summer.
          MLS maybe?

          • The Mourinho style has been found out. Unless he evolves, his time at the elite level is over.

You say this until you notice Big Nose played in an even greater defensive set up (5 men back line) and still managed to get nutmegged on goal about 3 times while chasing 4th place. Not to mention, unable to defend any shot on target from 18 yards out. In other words, the keeper still has to be good even if sitting behind great defenses.

Real Madrid are learning that reality first hand. Man got nutmegged on a header by Santi fooking Cazorla.... the Arsenal lad who tore his achilles so badly that the doctors told him he would be lucky to play with his kids in the garden, let alone football.

He still has clout around Inter. Only friendly place for him these days.

                • Callum Hudson Odoi handed in transfer request after Chelsea rejecting 4 transfer bids by Bayern Munich. Latest at 40m pounds.

Now RB Leipzig has entered the hunt with a 20m pound offer with buyback clause as well.

                  • Chelsea won’t sell him.

Because that transfer ban is real and any amount of money isn’t gonna help.

To be fair the club have bent over backwards for him like they did for Solanke and he looks pretty ordinary anyway.

It’s a tough one. It’s frustrating because Willian and Pedro aren’t very good now - Willian this seasonis hopeless. One of the worst players in the league.

That’s probably the source of his frustration but Willian is still a decorated player who has won a few league titles, F.A Cup, Europa League etc, an is much capped by Brazil. CHO is.....a kid.

He’s been at the club since he was 8 and he has the greatest chance of any product since JT to break in. Especially when Chelsea are banned from transfers.

Bayern can and will buy a better player for right now.

You can’t go from youth player to elite CL and be there. Ain’t happening.

But if he does go. Good luck to him because on the face of it it’s a risky move - Bayern aren’t Dortmund. They’re flat track bullies who cannibalise that league. He’s not a local lad. What loyalty will they show him? But it shows balls on his part to be a young English kid going to that club.

The other real argument to not care that much is becUE young Chelsea players don’t actually break through anyway . And it might really be because actually their youth teams might actually just be really good teams. Better than the sum of their parts and well coached with less emphasis on individual quality.

That said Christensen, Ake, Tammy, RLC, Ampadu, CHO, James, Tomori, could all be there or thereabouts imo

He looks like Jordon Ibe mk2.
