Originally posted by black.ink View PostWe have Kieron Dowell on a season long loan from Everton and he was in the England U-20 team that won the World Cup. He is pretty much a starter in our team this season and has grown in confidence, but you can see where he lacks with the physicality of the league. He is far better skilled than any other individual in our first team, but not a better PLAYER. First team experience will help him though and Everton will have a far more capable player next season because of it.
Everton fans are clammering for him to go back from a season long loan because their millions spent over the summer isn't paying off.

Liverpool have now nicked the top scored in the u-20 world cup and now the u-17 world cup of Chelsea.
Let's see if they do anything with either. They've literally got no strikers other than crock Sturridge.

What no10s do Everton have?
I only see Rooney and Sigurdsson as 10s.
Mirallas, Lenon, Schneiderlin, Gana etc. aren't 10s.
If you see their youth products, then yeah, they basically raised a bunch of 10s. The blond hair kid, and the whole lot are more 10 than anything else.
Rooney is a big problem for them, I feel. He's a big conundrum because he can't really play as a lone striker anymore, his mobility is gone. He isn't better as a pure-10 than Sigurdsson (imo) but he has the name and returned to his boyhood club, so it's sort of like Everton are obligated to play him. (kind like Liverpool with Oxlade.)
Mirallas, Sigurd, Lenon
That attacking 3 could probably get some momentum going for them but then you still have the Rooney problem. Play Sandro who has young legs? Or stick with Rooney who isn't threatening enough to be the lone striker.

Sigurdsson is a complete set piece merchant. Does he do anything in open play.
Everton not dropping at least 30m on a number 9 was what cost Koeman the job. Should've gone after Hernandez at least.

Rooney was the only player that looked like he gave a **** on the pitch the other day and Unsworth subbed him.

Actually thought Chelsea played alright then on the attack. But CL dream looks dead tbh. Those midfield injuries has messed us up. Chelsea have realistically only controlled 1 of the last 10 halves they have played. So the system needs to be changed.
Bad mistake for the second and you just have to assume Courtois will never make any saves, ever under any circumstances and he probably gave Rudiger a shout because but Rudiger has to be professional enough to recognise that Courtois is a rubbish goalie and to ignore everything he says.
Willy Cabellero is actually better than him at everything.Last edited by Sparked_26; 10-31-2017, 03:45 PM.
