  • Heskey wasn't that bad.

The league had a much higher standard of defending when he was playing.

I genuinely believe Heskey would be a carbon copy of Lukaku right now if he played in this era.

Don't even get me started on LuaLua, that right there is a 50 million player.

    • I remember I really wanted Chelsea to sign Darren Huckerby in the 90's. The dude was fast as hell.

Football in the 90's was better. Just the players themselves were more interesting.

David Luiz and Zlatan. Literally the only two characters in the premiership.

        No doubt about it mate.

LuaLua was one of the greats.

I will say this right now:

Sadio Mane is not fit to lace Tresor Lomana LuaLua's boots. Just a bum in comparison.

        • lol, i'm surprised the scouse ain't in on this. Mane does hold record for scoring 3 times in just under 3 minutes. C'mon now.

If it took me 3 minutes to score a hat trick against Villa I'd be disappointed.

            • I can't believe it took Villa so long to get relegated.

Ever since O'Neill left they have probably been the worst team in the world.

Roy used to rate Carlos Sanchez though. Unbelievably that dude is playing for Fiorentina now. His agent must be a Jedi. I am better at football than Carlos Sanchez.

              • Always had a soft spot for Villa ....probably coz of how good they were in FIFA 09. I was the man back in the days on FIFA with Villa, the hate messages i used to get were legendary.

Not only were they awesome as they were I also knew a way to glitch other players onto the team, so I'd have a front 4 of Ashley Young and Gabby Abgonlabor who were already at Aston Villa and I'd use the glitch to sign Darren Bent and Aaron Lennon as the other 2. Gareth Barry and Nigel Reo Coker were as solid as it gets in the middle.

Yes I could have signed Messi or Ronaldo or Ronaldinho etc anyone in world football but I'd sign Aaron Lennon and Darren Bent. John Carew was my back
Up plan on the very very rare occasion my pace merchants could be stopped.

That 4 was damn near unstoppable online on FIFA 09. Agbonlahor was a gawd.

                • Thousands of Chileans are set to march in a protest organised to convince Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal this summer.
The march, which has been organised on Facebook, will take place in Santiago, Chile on March 1st and already has over 23,000 attendees.

Theo Walcott left red-faced as Arsenal fans slam club for 'disrespectful' gesture
Sanchez has less than 18 months to run on his deal at the Emirates and the page – named ‘National March for Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal’ – has been organised to convince him to leave the Gunners.
The page was set up in reaction to Arsenal’s humiliating 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday, where Sanchez was seen crouching on the halfway line as the fifth goal went in in astonishment at his side’s display.

‘We, as Chileans are tired to watch one of our biggest stars play on his own to make his team get through,’ the page’s description reads.
‘We don’t want him to play at Real Madrid, nor go back to Barcelona, we don’t give a f*** where he plays, we just want him to fight along with 10 other players to get the results.
‘He doesn’t deserve to be alone.’
Sanchez scored Arsenal’s only goal on the night at the Allianz Arena and reports claim he was embroiled in a bust-up with his team-mates following the defeat.

There's a mass protest going on in Chile to try and get Sanchez out of Arsenal, they dont want to see their national icon wasted at a bum club

                  • This is a new low for Arsenal tbh, they're pretty much done as a top club

                    • Sanchez is a bit of a diva tbh. Him sitting on his heels against Bayern reminded me of Gallas crying on the pitch. Dude is their highest paid player he should be their best player ffs. He is drawing attention to himself.

It is why Wenger played him today. The old bastard was making a point - you're just one player.

Really what is a step up for Sanchez anyway. Juventus? He wouldn't even be a particularly big deal at Chelsea, Man U, or Citeh.

He is best off at Arsenal where he and those delusional Chilians can paint him as a sort of martyr because Arsenal have some ordinary players.

                      Man, footballers are irritating.

If I was an Arsenal fan I wouldn't even want him.

There is a real shift from the tribalism of supporting your team to fawning over individuals these days. What does Alexis actually mean to Arsenal? He is just a player doing well in a team under performing. There will be no statues built of that guy. He won't be that fondly remembered and let's say Arsenal did become successful once he left he will actually be a reminder of darker days.

That is why Chelsea after last seasons joke have it right. The media tried to paint Costa and Hazard as our go to men and an injury to them would stuff us. They both haven't played well for about 6 weeks now. Doesnt mean anything. We could sell them and replace them.
