Nope, I believe in the American people.

Ron Paul voted against the war and was in a situation to actually do so at the federal level. Ron Paul voted against war funding.

Ron Paul voted against the Patriot Act and the new FISA bill.

Ron Paul predicted the financial crisis.

Obama used doublespeak to talk about "combat troop removal" while pledging thousands more to Afghanistan(by 2010 expenditures there will rival Iraq). Obama voted for war funding.

Obama voted for the Patriot Act and the new FISA bill.

Obama raced back to DC to follow that lying scumbag McCain to support the bailouts.

Wow. Alright. Ron Paul would have been more popular than Barack Obama if only he had been allowed to speak.

Not as popular as he should be. There was a virtual media blackout(especially print media) during the primaries. Suffice it to say that any implied ad-populum insult is worthless, but if you think that a fair fight between the fraud Obama and patriot Ron Paul wouldnt turn out the right way then you must be a cynic.

When it comes to arguments requiring empirical fact ad populum holds little weight. But we are talking about winning a democratic election, in which case popularity has a direct influence on the outcome.

WTF is that supposed to mean???? Mussolini was very popular, so was Hitler. Doe that mean they were great candidates? It is totally ridiculous to talk about better candidates based on popularity because popularity is determined by the mainstream, driveby media. Thank you.

True, but if you hold a general election then they both get significant airtime and then the popularity becomes more relevant. Right now it is an ad-populum.

Havent read the thread only the OP (sorry) so I might be completely off target here, but Id just like to say that environmentalism isnt restricted to the left. In the UK the conservative party (the furthest right wing of the 3 main parties) have noted the importance of environmentalism and have even gone as far as changing their logo to a tree.

environmentalism really shouldnt be right or left except in terms of proposed solutions.
