I was watching this special on Marijuana that Al Roker was reporting on and he was talking to a guy that said legalizing marijuana would servely hurt the mexican drug cartels. Because it's what they make most of their money on and it helps pay for their other drug involvements, like cocaine, heroine, and meth. So instead of those cartels benefiting from our weed smoking here in the states, we should benefit from it. They were saying that if we taxed and regulated it as much as 2 billion dollars a year could be made in the state of california alone.Last edited by Gareth Ivanovic; 04-04-2009, 02:28 PM.

over 90% of all drug users soley smoke pot and nothing else. With the total cost of the "war on drugs" costing 300 plus billion per yr, a 90% decrease in that expenditure would be: 30 billion per year and revenue could be generated from legal pot sales leading to jobs at distribution centers, billions from sales and mitigating the effects of illegal drug sales and freeing millions incarcerated for petty weed sales charges.

Legalizing marijuana would result in Carlos Santana recording more ****ty music, and featuring on the singles of obscure attention whores more. Therefore marijuana is a highly dangerous drug.
