I found out in Italian today that "Guido" doesn't mean anything..

  • I found out in Italian today that "Guido" doesn't mean anything..

    Guido is actually a name.. It would be like calling someone Jim, Jerry, Tom.. or any other common name like that.
    So real italians just laugh at it when someone uses it thinking they are insulting someone.
    The spaghetti sauce "Prego" It means "You're Welcome"
    Marinera sauce is sauce of the sea.. If you ask for it in Italy you will be brought something related to sea food.

    We've been living a lie.

        I asked the professor why it is they called those dudes that and he said he didn't know.
        The point is that all this time we where thinking it was an insult and it wasn't.
