Angry selfish people who never had to work hard tend to dislike socialism or people who buy into the misguided idea of it. I think every person deserves some basic fundamentals. Who can argue vs healthcare and education for every person? Oh no some of my hard earned money is paying for some poor kid who broke his arm!! How terrible.

Like you have posted, our police force, public education system, etc are socialistic in nature, yet work fairly well. But our Government also owns Amtrak, which loses a billion and a half dollars per year. Your argument reads "well if a beer a day is good for you, a case a day must be great," which simply isn't true.
As of 2006, the United States had one of the highest levels of income inequality, as measured through the Gini index, among high income countries, comparable to that of some middle income countries such as Russia or Turkey,[15] being one of only few developed countries where inequality has increased since 1980

Almost all of these were due to banks being forced into making bad loans by organizations like ACORN. We had inflation, mostly caused by oil skyrocketing to 146 dollars a barrel, due to our huge consumption (20 million barrels per day) and complete unwillingness to drill for more (or convert coal to oil, or mine oil shale, build new nuclear power plants, etc and artificially driven up by futures speculation.)

Remember this i not communism, I can not understand how you do not see the benefits of free health care and cheap/quality education for all. Without money being the most vital part of success in the future.

The right wants to scare you with buzz words like "Socialism" and "Distribution of wealth".
The reality is, there are countries in this world that are not socialist that provide basic health care for the people than need it. Socialising health care doesn't mean you can't go to the doctor of choice, or that you will be forced to wait in huge public lines to get medical attention.
You can still see the doctor you want, keep your insurance plan and go on about your business if that's what you can afford.
"Socialising" health care is more about giving the million of Americans that don't have it, a chance to get basic treatment that every human being deserves.
We have the money, we are the richest country in the world. I mean, California is the 4th largest economy by itself. The money we spend in military spending each year can cover everything and have much more left over.
We just choose not to because of the greed of people in that business. It's time we use all this money that we are paying out of our pockets, wisely for a change.
If countries like Canada and Great Britian can do it, so can we. Just give the people than need it the right to basic health care. We don't want to be socialist or communist, we just want to have some compassion for the people that need it.
Don't worry, we don't want to take away your Porche or Mercedes Benz.

Its true what the poster above said.
Free Healthcare isnt socialism, its just a basic human right that everyone deserves the right to get treatment if they are ill/injured. If you get free healthcare you're not suddenly gonna be walking around in red chanting commie slogans. its understandable that poor countries may not be able to give its citizens free healthcare, but any developed nation should provide basic healthcare to its citizens as a basic right!
