I'm currently a civil servant, hoping to join the MoD in the future, but I've just been offered a chance to work with a company that produces clothing for ski-ing and golf(Y'know breathable materials etc) called Peak Performance which will involve going to many exhibitions and travelling abroad. Its the same pay pretty much(apart from in the Civvie I get certain expenses)
I've literally just been on the phone to them in my lunch break. its completely out of the blue, I'm going next week for an interview and a more formal chat.
Big decisions to make. I joined the Civil Service because its a safe career. Once you're in, you're in, but this seems a hell of a lot more exciting than my computer job atm!
