If you wish to remain a christian I strongly recommend against reading the bible. If you want to find out exactly what is wrong with your religion pick it up and read it cover to cover.

You see the people who will try and get you to read the bible want you to read specific passages carefully selected to appeal to people who are looking for an identity. In that way they can manipulate you into thinking that superstition is a legitimate way to find belonging.

If you read the whole thing you'll find it appalling and divisive.
