GTA IV tried to be too gritty and realistic.

I'm playing through San Andreas again at the moment and it's miles ahead of GTA4. They need a game with the scope of San Andreas again, airports, deserts, country sides, casinos, dams, rivers, gang territories, farms, connecting cities, free ways.

GTA4 compared to San Andreas is so ****. Saints Row 2 had the right idea, the mechanics just weren't robust enough.

first off i want to say THANKS FOR THE UPDATE! the thread started letting me know the trailer is finally due out this wednesday!


but I agree with this statement. . . GTA 4 was tight and all, but even a 7-8 is a huge letdown considering i thought san andreas was almost a 10. . . SA is the best IMO. . . Followed by Vice City. . .

God I hope 5 meets all my expectations. . . AND I LOVE THE IDEA OF IT BEING IN LONDON!!! Then maybe have airports and finally be able to fly to cities over the world. . . It would be tight if you could hijack passenger airplanes and fight your way out from the FBI and **** waiting for you when u land! like be actually able to view the inside of the airplane and **** from takeout to landing.

hopefully they'll continue to tone down the dick jokes and blatant sexual innuendos like they did with IV. that's one thing that i've always hated since GTA3, SA was absolutely littered with that crap. rockstar has taken their games a lot more seriously now with RDR and LA noir, i'm hopin they'll keep the film quality trend with GTAV.
