  • Comments Thread For: Epic Sports CEO on Securing Whyte-Pulev, Signing Fighters, More

With a bid of just over $1.5 million Epic Sports and Entertainment seemingly came out of nowhere to win the IBF purse bid for the heavyweight elimination match between Kubrat Pulev and Dillian Whyte, far surpassing the bids of Matchroom Sports and Team Sauerland.

        finally someone owns Hearn

now they are going to stage it in Bulgaria, exactly what Hearn and his protege did not want to hear about....
also team Sauerland obviously needs to find internal explanation on why Hearn bid just above them or maybe that was just the decoy to make Hearn think he is the winner while the bulgarian dude beat him!
nice to see Whyte now having to fight Pulev away from home after he ran scared of Ortiz!

we want to see this fight happen on good turf - we didn't want to go to England.

ie England is not good turf.......then we want to work with everybody

Explains why Pulev wasn't interested in coming to an agreement in advance of purse bids.

I wonder how much this guy paid Mayorga to come out of retirement in his last fight in Texas??
Must of been a good sum I'm assuming....

I was thinking exactly the opposite. Two tough guys, both like to impose their will.

Dillian Shyte is going to have to go to Bulgaria.

I love it, that's what he gets for running away from Luis Ortiz
