My guy fights 152 amateur. I think the other guy fights 147 as a pro.

I'm from Denmark, we were there for the sparring, for a week.
I'm sure you could get some work in at the Peacock Gym though. They were very friendly.

Thanks for posting that. Your guy made a good showing there. Whats his record? What's your critique of how he did? Also, do you know how the other guy did in his pro fights?

He did okay, considering we normally fight and train a lot differently because he's an amateur. This is actually the first time he's done 3 minute rounds in about 4 years, so that's one thing that was different. Also the style. We usually train for 2 minute rounds of all out punching and moving. The more punches, the more movement, the better. Here he has to slow down on his feet a little, get settled and throw heavier shots. You can totally tell the difference in styles between the two.

It's no big deal though, since we're not planning on turning him pro for at least another year. First, the EU championships in June, and then hopefully the world championships in September.
Still, nice enough to get a little work with some pro's, just to see how he measures up. I was pretty satisfied. Obviously we'll need to work on more of a pro style, when he turns pro, but for now we're focusing on getting him as ready for those amateur tournaments as possible. His record is 65-15 or something around those figures. He lost 3 of his first four fights, the first two to another kid I was training at the time

I think the other guy was 2-0 as pro, but I'm not sure.

Technically sound with a few little things I could see to look at, which i'm sure you saw also.

Very good compared to anything posted here.

I would love to sparr him.

We're probably going coming to London again sometime in late May.

Did you say you were from Denmark? You've an incredible grasp of English. Some of you guys from the rest of Europe put us to shame. Then again, English is the main language in terms of Countries that speak it.
