no paul williams jokes, please.
so what does it actually refer to?
are your legs simply not as fast?
is it a stamina issue in the sense that you can move around the ring, but you just get more winded after 3 or 4 rounds as opposed to being able to get on your horse for 12 rounds?
is it a balance issue due to weakening knees, ankles, etc.?
is it a leg endurance issue where the lactic acid just builds up more quickly than it used to and your leg's just feel heavy after a shorter period of time?
i realize that the phrase can mean any or all of the things above, but being a guy still in my 20's how does this sensation actual feel like in training or during action in the ring? Ali in the '70s lost his ability to float around the ring the way he did during the '60s, but he was still able to run for miles. This goes for a number of athletes in the ring-their workout regiments stay relatively unchanged and their performance unhindered, but in the ring they are stiff-legged. For those of you who hang around boxing gyms, what exactly are the root causes?
