    Hello all, this is my first post.

    About a week ago, I decided to cut out cheese, sugar, fried food, and red-meat. I still eat some bread and rice, but it's limited. For the past few days, I've been experiencing some low energy, but nothing I can't handle. The thing that's bothering me is that I'm feeling down and depressed. Is this all normal? Does it eventually go away?

    Also, I quit smoking herb about 2 weeks ago after smoking consistently for a year.

    I feel like I should just go back to what I was doing to feel better. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

    Probably has more to do with quitting weed than with the diet change. Give it some time to adjust and you'll start to feel better, I might recommend some light exercise to get started.

      Cutting out sugar is giving you the low energy, probably also plays a part in the depression. This will pass, start eating High Protein/low fat items like skinless chicken breast, salmon, tuna etc. Get your sugar and carbs from veggies and fruit, this will help with sugar crash and get your body adjusted to proper foods. You might also be depriving yourself of the proper caloric intake because you've cut out high calorie items, so maybe you're coming in way lower than you need to.

      Also you may be going through withdrawl on the weed, that'll lead to several things like depression, insomnia (which will lead to feeling tired all day) and a slew of other side effects.

      Its no biggie, just make sure you're eating clean, staying active, and give it a few weeks you should readjust, and look like a beast.

        Coffee is probably the only supplement that actually works, not to mention the fact its incredibly cheap.

        Dietary measures leading to low energy in training = One large cup of black coffee prior to training (about 1-2 hours beforehand). No sugar, no sweetener, no milk, no creme - just coffee.

        Disclaimer - This doesn't mean hit 3-4 cups of coffee at intervals during your day. Drink it once, lest you become immune to its powers and require mad dosages.
