  • Weak Legs? Sprint Training Could Help

It is essential that boxers have a strong pair of legs. They help you set and transfer power in to a punch. If you take a blow, then strong legs can also help you up as they can absorb more impact.

Sprint training is also relevant to boxing, as quick bursts, a short rest and quick burst again mimics ringwork. Sprint training can be done once or twice a week, as well as cardio and interval running. Here's an example of what you should be doing:

    Bunny Hops 5x20
    Box Jumps 4x10
    Bounding 3x10

Sprint 50m/rest 10 secs (repeat 6 times - gradually increase the reps and distance)
