I haven't the bag consistently in some time but since I'm trying to get off a few Holiday pounds, I started back up.
My regimine consists of jogging, followed by shadow boxing and then doing 3-4 three minute rounds on the bag with 16 oz gloves. I conclude with some abs and 5 sets of 10 on the perfect pushup.
Being that my primary punches are thrown with the left (Jabs and hooks, mixed in with some rights) I think I might be overdoing it a bit. My left shoulder has been hurting after I hit the bag.
Is there any way to stop the shoulder pain that you feel once you start back up a boxing regimen?
