I know everyone is big on this guy, but who on his resume' makes him a standout to beat Pacquiao?

Your question makes little sense. No one is a 'standout' or would be favored to beat Pacquiao. Guzman is simply a fighter who has shown great ring skills against top 10 guys at 130 such as Juaregi and Barrios. His great physique and style make him an interesting matchup for Pacquiao. Anyone who is against this fight is crazy. Clearly, this is the best fight to be had at 130 and I was calling for it since before Pac-Morales III. Guzman is on the up and up and but (to answer you) there is no one he could beat at 130 that would all of a sudden make him a favorite to beat Pac.

let guzman fight Valero first and unify the titles who ever unifies gets pacman...im sick of pacquiao fighting guys with no titles...i should of had the featherweight title and he should have teh super feather title by now!

it sucks he will be moving up to lightweight soon and probally wont even get a title shot there either.

i know fights count but damn it would be nice to hear 5 titles in 5 different weight classes.

**** titles. Valero is of no more value for Guzman's career than Barrios was. Valero has not beaten good fighters yet. However, Guzman has and is ranked top 3 at 130 by RING. Guzman does have a title (WBO). Maybe not the best title, but the fact that Guzman is the 3rd best 130 lber in the world means a lot. Many fans now recognize Guzman is very good in this weight class.

Why do you say Pac will move up to 135?

I've seen many of Joans fights at Junior Featherweight, and a couple at Junior Lightweight, I have to say this fella is very gifted. He strikes me as a hybrid of RJJ and SRL and I do agree that stylisticly, it would be a great match between he and the Pacman. He has 'OK' power and his hands are brittle, but the dude can make brawlers look silly. Maybe this fight will happen, and if it does then I'm right there.

He hasn't defeated any top 10 P4P fighters but the skills he's shown against who he has fought makes him look like an EXTREMELY talented fighter, I'm picking him to beat Pacman by UD at 130, this should definately happen, one of my favourite match ups, up there with Hatton-Mayweather and Calzaghe-Taylor/Kessler.
