I'm convinced that you haven't seen a single Joan Guzman fight. what in the hell makes you think that he can't keep up with Manny? Guzman is no Erik Morales (the current one). He's hungry (important), can equal Pacman's handspeed easily, and he stood toe to toe with Barrios, who is a HUGE super featherweight (whom many thought would give Manny problems because of his sheer size). Not to mention that he continues to show improvement with each fight a lot like Manny. You're just druged with Manny's performance. Just remember that Morales is no longer the same fighter he once was. Pac would have never done Morales up like that if he was 5 years younger.

I wanted Guz to face Valero first and the winner gets Pac.

Any guy in that triangle will surely give us a bloodbath of a fight.

Good post. Joan Guzman is a very active fighter with excellent handspeed and he throws in combination well. He proved he can take a shot in that Barrios fight and he doesn't get discouraged when he can't get his fighter out of there (as evidenced with Barrios and Juaregui).

I'd favor Pacquiao (you almost have to) but Guzman would be right there with him the whole time. Pacquiao is getting better with his footwork and variation of punches...he's on top of his game right now but so isn't Guzman. Good fight on paper though.

I'd love to see this fight.

I really like Guzman, but this is a big step up in class for him. Narrowly outpointing Barrios was the biggest notch on his belt, so it's not exactly like he's in a position to be demanding this fight,

but if the Barrera fight doesn't come off, I'd like to see Manny fight Guzman or Valero.

            Great fights.

I'd like to see Pac-Guzman too. I just think Pac is too much for him. Barrios couldn't keep up with him, but he still hit Guzman a lot. I think Guzman fades in the late rounds and get ko'd.

That was on the judges scorecards, anybody with eyes saw that he clearly dominated that fight.

Casita is fighting Freitas his next fight. Also, Diaz and Casa are at 135, Guzman and Pac are at 130.

Also, Barrios is known for his power and even though he came in heavy for the fight, Guzman still took everything Barrios had to offer.
