PAC's future opponents

I'd love to see Pac over here, but it most likely wouldn't be against Harrison, as he seems to have real problems.
Most likely someone like Alex Arthur would be a realistic UK fight for Pac.
I'd like to see Pac fight Guzman. Guzman is highly talented, but hasn't really been tested and Pac is the ultimate test for any fighter in his weight class. Valero would be a good fight too, Valero has enough pop to make things interesting.Comment

In a previous and separate thread I mentioned Arthur as a possibility. But when a read that Harrison is trying to get his life together, I kinda thought, he'd be a much better opponent for Pacquiao, he having held titles and fought better opposition. But, a Pacquiao-Harrison fight is predicated on Harrison's being able to get himself in good shape in every respect; not to mention the financial and other considerations that go with putting the fight together in UK.I'd love to see Pac over here, but it most likely wouldn't be against Harrison, as he seems to have real problems.

I like at the very least one Pacquiao fight in Europe, just so Europeans are not deprived of the chance of watching "live" one of the most exciting fighters today. I chose England, in part because it has fighters that can become very competitive against Pacquiao, and in another measure, because, like I pointed out in that previous post, Britannia "may not rule the waves anymore but the British Commonwealth occupies a good part of the globe and deserves a close look as market for boxing."
I totally agree that there are exciting prospects for Paquiao down the road: Valero, Guzman, Soto, Juarez, Harrison/ Arthur and even MAB. The fans are looking forward eagerly to those. The Jr. Lights are hot. I hope Arum and Oscar won't put out the fire with their contractual bickerings. Or, some other figure (such as a court of law) shall come in to force the fights through and give us fans what we want.Last edited by grayfist; 11-21-2006, 12:05 AM.Comment
