Ya, he won it fair and square, I had it 116-112 for him. That judge that had it 114-115 was either blind or paid.

From what Ive read it was a competetive fight with Ruslan landing harder and cleaner blows most of fight and to my suprise little clinching from the huggy bear. I'll actually look foward to watching when one of the russian dudes put it on youtube or something

Thank God, I couldn't bare the thought of Ruiz - Valuez again.

I have a question, should Chagaev opt not to fight Valuev because of his lack of experience?

Right now Chagaev has beaten a top ten fighter in Ruiz and has notable wins against experienced Michael Sprott and upcoming contender Vladimir Virchis.

However, Chagaev IMO is relatively unexperienced when it comes to the professional level of boxing. Recently, we saw number 1 contender Calvin Brock outclassed by experienced veteran and IBF champ Wlad Klitschko. IMO, Brock hadn't been tested enough in hard fights and overly touted his undefeated record and as a result was nowhere near Klitschko's league. In hindsight maybe a couple more fights with some good competition would have given him a better chance of victory...or not.

Point is, should Chagaev step in with the experienced, improving, and very dangerous Valuev or should he wait a couple more fights before stepping up to this level? On the other hand title shots are not guaranteed in this game and might not come along again for awhile.

                Thoughts?

I don't think he will, name one fighter who will forfeit a shot at the title. I personally don't think he can take Valuev but who knows...
