I personally think Shannon's lack of stamina is a result of his poor training methods that seem to focus primarly on building muscle and not enough cardio work. There are lots of athletes that have asthma and the following is a small list.

I suffer from Asthma, but when I was playing sports including boxing my asthma was under control and pretty non-existent. Now that I work for a living I've put on some weight and am not as active as I used to be and consequently my asthma has come back pretty considerbly.

My point is, exercising helps condition and strengthen an athletes lungs so that his/her asthma gets under control and is not factor when exercising or when competing. Also, excess weight can cause an asthmatic to experience symtons of the disease(i.e. trouble breathing)

Briggs suffers from an ailment which he has no control over. He is allergic to hard work.

even his own trainor at the time teddy atlas stated asthma wasnt the cause of his stamina problem after his loss to darrol wilson. I dont know if the guy has asthma or not,,,but I'd say his lack of stamina has to do with him lifting weights too much. weights plus all that running and sparring drain you. thats probably at least part of it. those huge muscular arms are just too much to throw around without waering you out
