Hopkins can't be placed higher than Roy Jones Jr.

Think about it, if Roy stayed at 160, who would Bernard Hopkins be in boxing?
I will tell you, just another contender...Tito, Oscar, LOL, wouldn't stand a chance.

Just because Roy moved up, doesn't mean we shouldn't consider his place at 160...why should we always count longevity at a weight class over a fighter who wants to move up? Especially inn this case, 160-168-175. I don't care if the fighters are B+ fighters at 175, if you put them against a fighter at 160,
the 175 fighter would most likely be favored, of course depending on the person since if we are talking about Robinson, that is a freak of a different kind. Also, Sam Langford, just to slip that in, but you get my point hopefully.

Hagler didn't even move up...I wonder how he would of faired against a prime Roy Jones Jr. or the middle-weight version if you don't consider him in his prime at this point.

Roy was a true freak of nature in his prime: his speed, reflexes, intuition, and power, very rare.

Roy Jones couldn't stay at 160. His body couldn't make the weight anymore - he has a naturally large frame. Assuming what he would've done at that weight had he stayed there is pointless, and using that speculation to trivialize Hopkins' is unfair.

So say for that time he could make it, where would he rank if he met some of the other all time greats, Fantasy fights?

He did beat Hopkins, so it is fair...there is a reason Hopkins never moved up to chase Roy.

People say Hopkins is top 5, 10, but he did lose to Roy, so shouldn't Roy be placed higher?

Shane Mosely couldn't make 130 anymore, so he moved up, should we foreget that?

I don't put Roy at middleweight since he didn't really fight there. I'm not aware of all of Roy's accomplishments, besides that he won title(s) at light heavy and won the title at heavyweight.

          For Hopkins:
Undisputed holder of the championship belts from all 4 major sanctioning bodies (WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO).
          20 title defenses
          47-4-1 (32 KO)
Defeated Antonio Tarver going up to light-heavyweight

I do understand that Hopkins didn't fight the best competition, but some say Roy didn't either.

People love to say that Roy didn't fight the best. The fact is that Roy would have beat any fighter who stepped in the ring with him for a long time. He fought champions, top contenders and won in a few different divisions. The people that bash him really must not have any clue about boxing at all. People also love to forget that because he was so good, he would make his fights harder than they had to be by doing other physical activities on the day of the fight. Roy Jones Jr. didn't duck top competition, he made top competition look bad.
