golota would have ran out of the ring after the stare down. bowe was damaged goods and still gave golota trouble and made him self destruct
1996 version of Golota was not intimidated by anyone. I seriously doubt he would have ran out of the ring at the site of Wlad.
Another thing is, I am tired of hearing people say that Bowe was damaged goods prior to his fights against Golota. Bowe's hardest fights were the first two he had against Holyfield. The third one he did not take alot of punishment from Holy because Holy was a mess at the time with his health problems. The hardest shots Bowe took in their third fight was when he got knocked down, other than that Bowe did not receive alot of punishment in that fight. Beside's the fight's against Holyfield not one of Bowe's opponents did any damage to him. Golota ended Bowe's career period!!!
Golota would get KTFO. Glass jaw, always froze in big fights, no way Golota wins.
Once again. I agree that after 1996, Golota would tense up in big fight's. But you cannot sit there and say that his fight's against Bowe were not big fights. Golota was facing what many of the supposed boxing expert's called the best heavyweight at that time. He thoroughly dominated the top heavyweight of the time. Psychologically Golota is a ****ing nut which lead to his downfall. If he had half, nevermind all of it but just half the mental make-up of Lennox Lewis, Golota would have been one of the top fighter's of his era.
Supposedly Golota has not retired and he is in Vero Beach working out at Buddy Mcgirt's gym. Rumors are that he will try and schedule a fight sometime in the spring. Personally after that no show he pulled against Brewster, he should just get the eff out of the fight game. That was his last chance and he blew it bigtime.
This for me would have been the ultimate fight. The Golota who thrashed Bowe against the Wlad who thrashed McCline, Mercer and Botha. The fight would probably have ended in disqualification but I would be curious to see how Wlad would have handled the aggresiveness of Golota. I do not believe Wlad would have been able to handle the amount of punishment that Golota dealt to Bowe but Wlad's offense is far superior to what Bowe's offense was.
If Golata had Sam Collona in his corner, it'd be a huge night for Andrew Golata. The 2002 Wladimir isn't **** compared to him now. That Wladimir didn't know how to deal with adversity, tie a man up when he got close, or defend himself at all. Golata was too good a fighter for that Wladimir. Now though, the new Wladimir would do to Golata what Lennox did to him, because now they are the same kind of fighters.
Wlad. Golota couldn't fight backing up and that Wladimir always moved forward. It would probably be an early stoppage.
any version of wlad tko1 over golota. golota would have a panic attack every time he faced someone with speed and power. he'd find a way out of there whether by knockout or dq
