    Good news Oscar vs Floyd

DE LA HOYA-MAYWEATHER: NEARLY 3,500 TIX SOLD OVER THE PHONE!
    By G. Leon

Believe it or not, the magnitude of the Oscar De La Hoya-Floyd Mayweather Jr fight has left Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer in a virtual state of shock. "I've never seen anything like this, we haven't even decided yet where we're going to do the fight, and 3,453 tickets are already gone before we've even put them on sale. Our phone lines have been lighting up like a Christmas tree with people giving us their credit card information just to secure their seats." An elated Schaefer later added that GBP has already secured over $1M in sponsorships and expects this fight to be the richest in the history of the sport. **********ers who want to make sure they're in the house for this historic night of action should contact Golden Boy Promotions at 213-489-5631. GBP's hours of operation are 9am-5pm PST

How do you figure? If you look at this fight OBJECTIVELY... DLH will be the bigger and more powerful fighter, PBF will be the faster and better defensive fighter. Then look at their respective careers fighting opponents of that nature. Prime DLH struggled with old Pernell Whitaker (fast, defensive fighter), Bernard Hopkins (defensive wizard) and Felix Sturm (although this could be attributed to being at MW. PBF hasn't really fought anybody with GREAT power at higher weights, but he has never struggled against boxer/punchers which is what DLH is. Factor in age and that Floyd has much more incentive to win (continue his career, be the best ever, beat his dad) and that Floyd has only looked superb in his biggest fights while DLH hasn't and I think we can chalk up a UD for Floyd.

Pretty much, it should be an interesting night though. In the lights, no one shines like Floyd so I'll be looking forward to see a nice night, some beautiful boxing.
