Styles make fights, and Toney's style was perfectly suited to fight 6'0 Peter. Toney would get mauled by anybody 6'4 and up.

Sam peter is more versatile and can score against a variety of different types of fighters regardless of height. He knocked Klitschko down 3 times. I doubt James Toney could do that.

That picture of Valuev and Ruiz is the most surreal boxing picture I've ever seen. Damn, that man is huge!

so what? that's irregardless.. off the cards, Peter lost to James Toney.. the INSTA-rematch already set for January 6 on Showtime (two months away, btw) kinda proves that...

Reminds me of something from a children's book, a knight rushing at an ogre.

Ruiz is not a small man either.

All I really have to say about Valuev is this....

He's gotta be the ugliest mother****er I've ever seen lace up a pair of gloves, I'd **** my pants if he was lurching towards me.....

                  EDIT: and I'm 6'7" 250lbs.....

but as far as fighting wise, other than his size he doesn't really have much.

his defense has more holes in it than swiss cheese!

he barely beat ruiz and actually hugged ruiz more than ruiz hugged him.

i think wlad could beat him fairly easily. i think maskaev could beat him, and maybe even Sam Peter could beat him, it seems like wild looping punches land easily on Valuev and Peter is chalk full of those.
when barret threw those awful looping punches, they landed on valuev's bean every time. i thought at one point he actually hurt the caveman, but barret was too scared to see it and follow up with more punches. i'd love to see sam peter in there against valuev, i think he'd knock him the **** out. wlad, with his superior skills, would destroy him, once he settled down after the first three or four rounds and got used to valuev being so much bigger than him... for some odd reason, i'd like to see shannon briggs fight him - steroid muscles against a circus freak
