He beat Augie Sanchez to win his spot for the Olympic. Sanchez beat him once, so they fought twic i think or three time don't remember, but he ran, ran, and ran some more when he faced Sanchez.

and i love how people put so much emphasis on amateur fights...
this is like bragging about the fact that michael jordan's older brother
larry was better than him up until college and maybe during a short time....
but once they are pros, whole different ballgame, plus age and maturity....

If people are searching in sparring and amateur career to attack a fighter, it just shows how this fighter is good.

the prince brutalized his ass, that was a beating to remember, augie put up a good fight, but the prince blasted him pretty bad.

Yeah, I remember reading an article in Sports Illustrated on Jordan after his 8th retirement and he said that he got cut from his high school team.

I remember back in the state ABFs watching Floyd win his division. My coach had pulled me aside and told me to watch this kid. Even back then he was an exceptional fighter...............Rockin'
