    Boxing's Most Tragic Figures

I was thinking back earlier today about the prospects of Rid**** Bowe, way back when, then I got to thinking about how tragic his career turned out to be and how he's been affected so badly by fighting. So I got the idea to compile a thread about boxing's most tragic figures. Who do you think are some of the most tragic figures/circumstances within the sport?

Top of my head headliners would be....

    1.) Muhammed Ali
    2.) Meldrick Taylor
    3.) Rid**** Bowe
    4.) Evander Holyfield
    5.) Tommy Hearns

Surely I've left out a few others, who have I forgotten?

2.) Meldrick Taylor - my eyes watered up during the HBOs tale about Chaves vs Meldrick, when they showed Taylor in his current state, still fighting.

Some **** promoter used him in a show where I live a couple of years ago. He marketed it on the fact of the Gold Medal and championships. I wouldn't even go to see that **** because I am a Taylor fan and I didn't want to see him like the zombie he has become.

Henry Armstrong ended up blind and broke. Joe Louis would be my number one pick. He went from being an American Hero to a wrestling sideshow and a doorman at Caesars.

This is the kind of **** that portraits boxing as a brutal and hartless sport.
