But Hatton said these fights were for a reason. To showcase himself to the American public and build a higher profile there and show what he could do. Then the Mayweather fight would generate more money. There was no reason for Hatton to believe PBF wouldnt still be available for a match after his couple or so fights! It would give PBF time to do whatever he had to do as well. Do you understand where i am coming from? It will haunt Mayweather in years down the line if he doesnt get in the ring with the Mancunian.
The fight didnt happen, but as i say the politics of boxings makes things difficult a lot of the times. The fight should still be made unless yoiu retire and dont want it for whatever reason. Maybe he is scared. Maybe his isnt! I think he is! Hatton aint retiring so i am not going to have a go at the man.Last edited by hugh grant; 11-16-2006, 04:48 PM.

I think the Americans know who Hatton is now, and they would like to see him againsts PBF. So Hatton has acheived what he set out to do.

Maybe they will look at Hatton against Collazo, Orangutan or whatever his name is or Joe Bloggs and say to themselves. "I like this Hatton guy. He is an exciting fighter. I would like to see him against PBF"

Floyd dont got a wait for anyone. Floyd should get on with doing what hes got to do, and he has, by beating Baldy, but why is he trying to rule the fight out now with Hatton?
DLH is 33 years old and he can still get a fight with FLoyd. So why the rush for Floyd to quit. Whos he running from?

But Hatton has won awards for being an up an coming talent, so obviously people rate him for good reason. Noone is saying he is the most beautiful boxer to watch. But as i say a win is a win. If he fought PBF and won, i doubt he would have looked beautiful beating him. He might even wrestle PBF to the floor a few times.
