Sure no uppercut but did Big Len have a lead left hook?

Does anyone else see Manny trying to mold the Ukranaian into the next Lewis?

Soft chin, big punch, great jab, very cautious...I thnk Manny has it all figured out.
somewhat but thats impossible becuase wlad should be fighting left handed to fight exactly like lewis

                ??

Anyhow, I think the similarities are striking. I'd say that Wlad has at least equal if not better handspeed than Lewis, and his overall athleticism is excellent, just like LL. Pole-axe jab, and big right hand - the packages look a lot the same.

BUT... ...Wlad still has quite a ways to go. His infighting skills are still suspect - while he clinches ok now, he doesn't dominate/manhandle guys the way Lewis did. This plus no uppercut means he has to fight at a distance, and rely on his jab to wear guys down. His balance/footwork is not as good as Lewis, and he can be caught wrongfooted or at the wrong distance although he's quick enough to correct it usually. And finally that chin of his is a big problem. Lewis didn't have a great chin, but he could absorb some heavy stuff without a lot of drama. Wlad gets a glancing blow on the back of his head and he's down. Frankly, I don't think you can train your chin to be any better, but on the other hand, Wlad's jab is so good, and his competition so bad, that he may never need a better chin...
