    Another thread about Wlad Klistchko

I was happy to see that Wlad was improving his inside skills...
Trying to land those upper cuts...

Wlad is really developing quickly. For the fight with Peter, WLad learned how to hold (not good, but something you can't be without in the HW)

Byrd, no need for comments there.

I seriously think he did not reach his prime yet.. I would wait for another 3-4 fights (2 more years with Manny) before calling him in his prime.

I wasn't that impressed with Wlad's boxing skill, once he started using his jab correct he won a round & once he did exactly what Steward told him he knocked him the **** out, the power was impressive but he didn't out box him, this fight brought up questions for me about Wlad that wont be answered til his next fight, I still think he's the best HW titlist, but he doesn't seem as indestructible to me.

Agreed - Brock's speed/movement/off-beat seemed to trouble him. Though as The Iron One said to me "as soon as he connects, it's over". Check it - first flush right hand landed and the bout was all but done.

I thgink the hugging will reduce to a minimum, once he masters the inside skills...

He was doing a much better job.. admit that

              Indeed he was.
However, the hugging will be his undoing against Valuev.

I believe he is intelligent enough not to wrestle with a guy who has 6+ inch and 80lb advantage on him...

He will Jab Valuev's face into a mashed potato and finish him off with a few straight rights....

I don't see Valuev taking this punishment for more than 6 rounds. Wlad is just too mobile and quicker than most small heavies, but for Valuev, he fights at warp speed.

Valuev can take a load of punishment.
It behooves Wlad to stay out of clinches and not waste energy by throwing too much punches when he is on the outside.
