Once you get your podium, pal, you can do most of what you wanna do. You go in via the boxing route, but that does not mean you'll need to limit yourself to the sport.

Tom Hauser wrote a piece on Seconds Out, some time back, titled, "More Important Than Boxing". It dealt with politics, George W. Bush in particular.

To me, this piece ranks among the very best he has every written.

I've read it, as well as his book about the Chernobyl incident. Him, Newfield, and Norman Mailer were very versatile writers.

You've got a bunch of great professional models there, buddy. Like I said, you're on your way, and getting closer to your destination (destiny?) every day.

Your good enough not to need a lot of luck, pal; just the same, here's wishing you the little that you may need.

Be patient, you're young. Like the say in the corners, "Don't go for the early KO, but take it when it's there."

That's the trick. Enjoy the trip-- it may prove to be as good or even better than the destination.

If Morales wins, I'll kiss his feet in the ring, tell him he's the greatest, and catch the first flight out of the country!
