With a voice in the press, you can change alot of things. I want to cover boxing predominantly, but I also want to make changes in my area. I want to chase down slumlords, dirty politics and that type of thing. We're on this world for a short time and we have to do good.

Once you get your podium, pal, you can do most of what you wanna do. You go in via the boxing route, but that does not mean you'll need to limit yourself to the sport.

Tom Hauser wrote a piece on Seconds Out, some time back, titled, "More Important Than Boxing". It dealt with politics, George W. Bush in particular.

I've read it, as well as his book about the Chernobyl incident. Him, Newfield, and Norman Mailer were very versatile writers.

That's the trick. Enjoy the trip-- it may prove to be as good or even better than the destination.
