Briggs has been begging for a fight with Wlad for ages.

Stewart has stated on record that Briggs is a dangerous opponent for WK. Briggs is a big heavy that has a huge wing span. If they fought I would favor WK but Briggs has the power & technique unlike Sam Peter to crack his questionable chin.

Brock gave the fans their money's worth, at least. That's more than can be said for Goldie Locks. Hell, I'd like to see Brock fight Shannon....he could beat him.

yeah, i'd pick brock to beat briggs, but i'd give briggs a better chance to beat wlad than brock... but give briggs's misereable performance last week, i'd say that chance is slim.... briggs has horrible defence, stamina and chin...

Here's the thing about Briggs; and I was sure of this while watching the Liakhovich fight. You remember that guy that ran his mouth so much about how bad of a badass he was; but when you stood up to him, he turned out to be a little *****? That's Shannon. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Shannon's a "*****"; I'm saying he's all talk and no action.

Guys that feel the need to talk about how bad they are and how they're tougher or better than everybody else, how they should be "the star" because they're "awesome", are full of ****....that's Shannon.

He's huge, yeah, he can punch, yeah...but when it gets down to it, when you cut through all the ****, he's the biggest puss in the business. That's why he's pumped up, that's why all the talk, that's why he tries to look like such a badass.....he's trying to cover up who he is; but I could see the panic in his eye when he fought Sergei. Yeah, Sergie was scared, too...because he bought Shannon's bluff. The more Shannon puffs up, the more he's shaking in his heart.

You could read his eyes, "why are they booing? What am I doing wrong? C'mon, man...Punch!! Oh man, I'm blowing it!!!! C'mon man, keep it together, Shannon! Keep it together. *breathes heavily*"

Panic. See, Shannon's a smart guy; probably with above average intelligence from what I can gather...and that can hurt you in a boxing match or a spotlight situation. See, a real smart man can't turn his brain off....it's always working, questioning, doubting, thinking when it should be reacting.

Anyway, let him talk.....hell, that's the only way for him to get attention. His fighting sure aint' gonna do it.

Why is Briggs talking? If it wasn't for a dramaitc 12th round KO, no one would listen to him. Since he has a belt, he need to get ready for his mandatory against a undeserving challenger (much like he was) in the next 90 days and shut up. Win that, then step up! I don't he would beat Calvin Brock anyway!

Perhaps, but I think Sergei's hesitance had something to do with his having felt Briggs's power.

His eyes were as big as saucers before the opening bell....he was intimidated. It could have been the event, being the center of attention for the first time, or it could have been that huge man in front of him who had talked much smack.
