    Bernard Dunne European Super-Bantamweight champion

Just saw it now vie RTE, Dunne beat Esham Pickering for the vacant title by 117-111 on two cards and 115-113 on the other. (I had it 118-111).

Good fight, showed Pickering's resourcefulness. Dunne looked to fade a little in the last three or four rounds, though set a strong pace early. A good fight.

Pickering never looked hurt, but clearly lost. I agreed with two of the judges, scoring it 117-111. Dunne had good hand speed and put together some good combos. Pickering certainly tested him a little though.

He's got such titchy little arms though, hasn't he? Like with the Hunter fight, the reach disadvantage was considerable. Dunne was a much better boxer than Hunter too.

Dunne rested for a couple of rounds near the end and then took control again for the last 3 rounds. He boxed better than I thought he could.Steve Molitor would be a real test.He looked very impressive on Friday night against Hunter.
