Why is everyone giving Mayweather a hard time about the level of competition his fought, Margarito has only smashed bums and yet he is considered a contender!

Margarito hasnt fought near the level of comp that mayweather has, but Mayweather kind of forces people to hold him up to a much higher standard with all the talk about retiring because hes already like the best ever,saying de la hoya wishes he could have accomplished as much as himslef,trash talking sugar ray,etc.

And I dont think anybody has said that mayweather dosent deserve to be the p4p#1 among todays fighters.Well some people have suggested that maybe it should be Pac.

the way margarito beat cintron, which was a step beyond convincingly, and the fact that cintron beat estrada, who gave sugar shane a good fight, speaks volumes about margarito.

I don't think its the trash talk, I think its just that people wanna see you fall when you get to the top. Hatton, Pacquiao, Cotto, ... all those guys are very humble and still they get criticized very bad. As far as PBF been the best fighter today, that's up to individual opinions, not everyone measures fighters using the same criteria, for instance, if you ask me I'll tell you PBF's level of opposition hasn't been the toughest in the past 3 yrs, no way he should be considered p4p king.
Sticking to the subject at hand, since PBF considers Margarito is not in his league, why doesn't he go for the WBO belt before fighting Oscar? I'm sure a win over Margarito and another belt will earn him more money in the fight.

exactly. i know ali did the same thing, but did u see who he fought?! i have no hate against PBF but honestly who has he fought? a washed up gatti, which even in his prime wasnt a greatly skilled fighter(even i love his fights), and zab. i know he beat some ppl in his lower weight classes but we are talking about now. him talkin bout how he is the greatest of all time period is crazy. i know fighters cant fight as much as they did back in the 70's ect but at least fight ppl that will give you a challange
