Hamburg, Germany: Alpaslan Aguzum won the WBC Intīl welterweight title on a split decision over South African Joseph Makaringe at the Sporthalle in Hamburg after a tough fight. It was scored 116-112 and 115-113 for Alpaslan while the third judge had it 115-112 for Makaringe. It was a very even and hard to score contest. Aguzum boxed on the move and scored with the cleaner punches while Makaringe chased. The South African had a point deducted in the eleventh round for a low blow. [details]
