Seemed like a really nice guy to me. Another reason why I like him so much. If there's any videos of Pacquiao being overly ****y or insulting Morales or anybody else, I haven't seen them. Freddie Roach usually does that for Pacquiao....
Got it right there buddy.... Roach talks the talk... Pacman walks the walk...

Yeah, I think that a lot of Morales fans would open up to Pacquiao, or at least be a little more accepting had Roach been out of the picture. Pacquiao himself is as quiet as you can get without being a mute, Roach is the ****-talker of the duo.

I don't think Pacquiao would ever replace him, considering he's said he thinks of Roach as a father figure, and the fact that what they do together obviously works. But still, nobody could argue his allure would bump up tenfold if he didn't have Roach talking **** all the time.

I disagree. Roach talking **** is obviously just hype and it wouldn't make a difference in Pac's allure. His popularity has already reached "god-like" status in the Philippines and it doesn't matter whether Roach is talking **** or not.

On the other hand, I keep thinking what if Floyd Mayweather, with all the skills and talent, has the attitude and humility of Pacquiao. That means Floyd wouldn't handpick his opponents and he wouldn't be arrogant proclaiming he's the greatest of all time. Floyd could have surpassed SRL in terms of legacy and popularity. It's a shame he took the "villain" role.

You make some very valid points, my $0.02 on them.....

I highly agree Pacquiao's status has reached godlike in the Philippines, hell I'd go one step farther to say he's above god in the Philippines (/ John Lennon Mode).

However I think his popularity here in the States and in other Countries would greatly improve had Pac done his own talking. He's a charasmatic guy, he has a very interesting story behind him, rose from nothing to become a top ranked fighter, and people tend to gravitate to that. I know they did with Baldomir, although Pacquiao's always been a good fighter, whereas Baldomir has not.

On the other hand, I would love to see Floyd Mayweather take a little dose of humility every now and again. If he conducted himself more like Pacquiao and only did his talking in the ring, I guarantee not only would he have not handpicked his opponets due to the largest price tag, but he would've been loved all over the world.

It really is ashame he had to cast himself in such a negative light because honestly he's the most talented fighter we've seen in this sport in a long time.

Floyd Mayweather = Great fighter, **** champion.

pacuqioa is no saint, he talks **** just like floyd does, but always behind his oppoents back. He and his camp were talking **** in from of Marquez when they had the fight scheduled, pacuqioa and roach both talking ****, and at one time one of Marquez manager had, had enough, he told roach to put his money where his mouth is -however the saying goes- and bet him, that pacuqioa will not ko Marquez as they both -pacquiao and roach- were say pacuqioa was going to do, he didnt' accep the bet. And after that pacquioa has been humble, for awhile. Now we've heard him talk **** about Diaz, about Morales and so on.

But it was shown in the first Morales fight that he can be outboxed. Morales kept him at the end of the jab, cut his face, and in the final round switched southpaw to slug with Pacquiao. Morales won a unanimous decision.
The cut on Pac was caused by an accidental headbutt.
