      No.
      Holyfield is done.
Dont forget that 3 years ago Holyfield was STOPPED by James Toney.

Sadly he actually has a shot with Briggs due to his superior stamina and good chin, if the ref allows for a brutal fight, but it would probably ensure he will end up brain damaged.

        Anyone else would destroy him.

id give him a shot against briggs, the briggs that fought liakhovich doesnt throw near enough punches to stop holyfield... i would like to say valuev but shear size puts valuev over the top...

Right on point. We will be able to determine Holyfields ability by the fashion in which (if he does) he wins tonight. If he puts on a boxing clinic enroute to a UD or KO, then I give him a chance against Maskaev or Valuev.

His last good performance was in 2002, against Rahman. In his last loss against Larry Donald he didn't win a round. Beating that journeyman Bates is no measuring stick for this fight. If he comes into the fight in the form he was in during the Donald and Toney fights, he'll be beaten easily again.

Oquendo is a good defensive boxer, like Chris Byrd, and Byrd gave Holyfield trouble in 2002. Even though logic says Oquendo will win, with Holyfield you just never know, he's proved people wrong time and time again. It may be the point of no return now though. The main thing from a fans point of view should be that he ends the fight in good health.

How many people on boxingscene are watching this? This could be Holyfield's own "Drama in the Bahama" fight.
