You can all choose to ridicule me.. Although Abe actually usues some LOGIC.. But the fact is FLOYD goes for the easy FIGHT.. and goes after the guys who were ALREADY beatn by the GUYs he is avoiding.. AND Once again I am boxing fan.. NOT a nutswinger.. I actually LIKE FLOYD.. EVEN out of the ring.. BUT that dont change the fact he is a ***** and is terrifeid of losing his ZERO.. and doesn't really want to fight JUST showcase his talents and EXPECTS to be PAID handsomely for it.. I used a great example OF Manny Pacquiao earlier in this THREAD.. its funny how NO one has anything to say about THAT.. SO I will say it again.. Pacquiao Gets 500000 ppv buys when he fights.. He gets Endorsements DEALS with NIKE and McDonalds.. WHY is he making the MONEY FLOYD wants? Simply because he GOES AFTER the best BELT or no BELT.. NO ducking.. LIKE he says.. "ANYPLACE anytime".. FLOYD could only dream of being THAT cool...

I totally see your point but fighters can only fight the people that agree to fight them. Hatton did not want the fight at the time and neither did Cotto. If you want to say that Harris was a better option than Gatti, I can respect that opinion but you have to realize Floyd would be majorly criticized for fighting somebody that was coming off of a loss to a no-name opponent (although he ended up doing the same thing with Judah). Gatti was/is nothing more than a C fighter but he did hold a title and more importantly for a guy that wanted to be on PPV for the rest of his career Gatti provided exposure. If you want to criticize him for fighting Brussles or Judah well then I have much less of an argument (although I think Brussles was a mandatory to get to fight Gatti).ANYONE who willingly goes after the "C" figter when the B, B+, A and A+ options are available is ducking and if its not ducking ..its still taking the easy fight.. And if you defend it. its NUTSWINGING.. PROOF . I am a BIG Wlad fan.. yet i think he is a ***** for choosing BYRD when he had the chance to AVENEGE his loss against Brewster.. See no NUTSWINGING HERE...Comment

You are right that Floyd does not want to lose his 0 and definitely protects his career and as a boxing fan that is annoying. On the other hand, it is not solely his fault that the fights we want can't get made. I don't really want to see Mayweather-DLH but it is a fight that will get non-boxing fans to pay attention to the sport again and that is a good thing. I have to slightly disagree with the Pacquiao comment. The reason he gets paid better and has ads is because of his immense popularity in the Phillipines and with Phillipinos in the US. Also, Pacquiao's style is much more crowd pleasing... he is exciting and powerful. Now I really can't fault a fighter for wanting to fight in a less crowd pleasing manner while not taking punishment. The sport is called boxing not fighting. Anyhow I generally agree with your point that too many fighters manage their careers rather than do what is right for the sport and the fans and that is a shame. You can all choose to ridicule me.. Frankly I can't agree with this particular point of yours. He should have and hopefully would have fought Zu if Zu had beaten Hatton. Instead, Hatton became the man and we have already discussed ad nauseum what happened there. Mosley and DLH were never even close to Floyd's weight class until now. When Floyd moved to 140, DLH was at 154 (and had no intention of ever making 147 again) and Mosley was fighting between 147 and 154. Maybe Mosley was a possiblity but not DLH. Now if you want to say what I think you were trying to say about DLH and Mosley then I agree with you...Floyd beating them now does not mean what it would have 5 years ago (clearly). Nonetheless, beating guys like DLH and Mosley serves as a right of passage (like when DLH beat JCC) but these wins don't make Mayweather the greatest of all time by any means. And Mitchell was never that good, sure he was better than when Floyd fought him but he was never a real threat to Floyd.Comment

Also Floyd has been calling out Mosley since he was at 130 and mosley was knocking people out at 135. Mosley chose to ignore him since he wasp4p then and now he has no choice but to acknowledge him now. So yeah it won't mean as much as it would have, but the older guys are more likely to challenge him then these younger guys.Comment

It's really a no-win situation. The only person that Floyd can fight and not take some criticism is a young, well-regarded, undefeated, legitimate title holder. So this severely restricts his potential pool of opponents to Hatton and Cotto. Arum will never let Cotto fight Mayweather and Hatton doesn't look like he will ever be "ready" so basically Mayweather will be criticized until he retires and probably far beyond. Also Floyd has been calling out Mosley since he was at 130 and mosley was knocking people out at 135. both statements are wrong
Ali had charges from one of his wives, I dont know if they were dropped. (mayw's wife dropped them and said she lied the first time around to get back at him)
Ali choice of opponents after Manila until his retirement has been questioned many times.Comment
