seriously the funniest thing i've read all week, not just boxing, just period:
Floyd Mayweather Jr's grandmother; He's serious, He's hurting
By DHB (Nov 8, 2006)
In a recent article by David Mayo in the Grand Rapids Press, Mayweather Jr's grandmother, Bernice Mayweather, said she was informed of her grandson's decision last Tuesday to retire after one more fight.
Bernice was quoted in the publication, saying: "Me and him were going to the gym, we were alone in the car, and he told me, 'Mother, you know what? I'm going to fight one more fight, and then I'm going to retire. I've done everything that a person can do in boxing.'"
Bernice however is skeptical and feels her grandson will continue, she added: "That's true, but I don't think he's really going to retire. I really don't think so. But I told him if he feels that way, just take a year off, then if you want to go back and box, you can. But right now, you saw how many tears he cried. He's serious. He's hurting."
