A pretty good take on Margarito

I didnt write this, it was from the Boxing group on Facebook but i thought it was worth posting:

Margarito's top opponent's IMO were Kermit Cintron, Antonio Diaz, Six Heads Lewis, and Frankie Randall. How does he expect to get big fights fighting people like this?

Let's look at Floyd's opponents and their credentials:

Baldomir - Until Saturday, he hadn't lost a fight since 1998. He defeated Judah and Gatti both in their hometowns. Former Undisputed Welterweight champion.

Judah - Underachiever, but has one punch KO power. More than likely would smoke Margarito. Former IBF 140 Champion (5 Successful Defenses), Former Undisputed Welterweight Champion.

Sharmba Mitchell - He sucks now. Past his prime. Former WBA 140 champion (5 Successful Defenses)

Arturo Gatti - One of the gutsiest fighters of all time. Former IBF 130 champion ( 3 Successful Defenses), former WBC 140 (2 successful defenses)

Jose Luis Castillo - Could arguably one of the best Mexican fighters of all time. Former sparing partner for the great Julio Cesar Chavez. 2 Time WBC 130 champion (5 Successful defenses), lost to Mayweather twice.

Diego Corrales - Another throwback blood and guts fighter. Former IBF 130 champion (3 successful defenses), former WBC 135 champion.

Mayweather's last 4 opponents: Baldomir, Judah, Mitchell, and Gatti, are better than Margarito's resume combined.

Everyone else you named were mandatory fights from the WBC to keep him from having his titles stripped. If you anything about boxing you'd know that.

Since Margarito is "supposedly" the most ducked fighter why isn't he fighting people who call him out to make a fight?

Here's a list of fighters who have publicly called out Margarito: (If you really keep up with boxing you'd know this too)

    1. Kassim Ouma
    2. Ishe Smith
    3. Winky Wright
    4. Zab Judah
    5. Carlos Quintana
    6. Jose Antonio Rivera
    7. Cory Spinks
    8. Luis Collazo
    9. Paul Williams
    10. Sharmba Mitchell

If Margarito really wanted to get his name out he would have accepted at least Winky, Judah, or Spinks. That's the only way you can get your name out to get big fights! IT'S A PROMOTIONAL SCAM BY BOB ARUM, YOU MARGARITO FANS ARE BEING FOOLED !!

I'm done with this Margarito ****. I can't take it anymore.

*One comment I have is, while this is all valid, why would Margarito "duck" the guys he's ducking and not Floyd? Floyd is better than all those challenges he turned down! Still, he should take those and stfu."

That list includes a bunch of nobodies....no matter who he knocks out in that list he will not get recognition for his greatness.....so if margarito is not worthy why doesn't gayweather fight him an expose him....I wonder why?.....it all comes down to easy money right?....gayweather would easily beat margarito right? ...but in the end...it all comes down to excuse after excuse...margarito is younger and stronger than gayweather and all these nutthuggers know this ..so they are waiting for someone younger to come up and beat margarito...the truth is that you gayweather nutthuggers have a long long wait.......margarito is here to stay,,,,

if Mayweather really is just going for greatness, he would reject the money for margarito and try to advance himself. Beating Margarito does nothing for his resume, just gets Bob Arum to stfu.

Fighting Margarito imo, says Mayweather fought the toughest hungriest, most dangerous fighter at welterweight, and if he fights and beat Margarito then goes to fight and beat Delahoya, theirs no doubt, that he is as great as everybody say he is. But without fight Margarito, just like Roy Jones Jr. theirs a lot of "what if.."

What the **** has Margarito done to even be in the same sentence as Oscar De La Hoya?

So Margarito shouldn't fight those nobodies, but Floyd should fight a nobody like Margarito? Are you really that big of an idiot? All of those "nobodies" are bigger names than anyone Margarito has ever beaten...
