okay how to make some fights within the wieght limits.

We dont want another case of Castillo or Corrales in boxing.

I a loss of time and money there should be something to control boxing weight in safer than now and better for both fighters.

Some people say same day weigh-ins are safer because the fighters wouldn't try to dehydrate themselves to gain an advantage over a non-dehydrating opponent and mismatches would be prevented.

Some people say day before weigh-ins are safer because that way the fighters aren't dehydrated when they’re in the ring.

Critics of the day before weigh-in say it’s done for business reasons, to get publicity for the fight the day before.

I think the optimal way is to allow fighters to weigh in the day before the fight.... and then again a couple of hours before the fight and each weight class can gain X amount of weight, and not a pound more.

I agree, but same days weigh-ins would stop people from draining their bodies to make a weight that they should not be at. In the long run, that is more unhealthy for their bodies...

That might be the best solution, kind of a compromise. Let them rehydrate some, hopefully enough that they're not in dehydrated in the ring and eliminate the gross mismatches.

How about this, if you are fighting at 140, and you come into the fight at more than say 145, you lose your entire purse, which will go to a charity of your opponents choice.
