In very limited incidents its been possible. The Gramercy Gym in New York, where it used to be before becoming a casuality of the inner city remodeling, was where Cus D'Amato lived with his dog Champ. A few gyms have rooms that you can live in if necessary, but the dynamic of the sport has changed drastically.Comment

usually the only reason a fighter lives in a gym is so that they're trainer can keep an eye on him and keep him out of trouble, especially if they have a drug or alcohol problem. i'm sure thats not the only reason but i've heard of that happeningComment

Im assuming a gym is not near where you live or you don't have a place to stay. When Jesus Chavez, came back to the states, he arrived at a gym, the owner told him he could live and train their, the rest is history, with a documentary and a book and possably a movie out later, about the life of Jesus Chavez.Comment
