The idea that Baldomir would win seemed extremely preposterous to me, really ridiculous logic. Baldomir had little to no sharpness, he counted simply on overpowering you and wearing you down, and when you can't touch a man you can't do those things. The closest thing I thought anyone would come to beating Floyd Mayweather was Zab Judah, whom I gave a reasonable shot at beating him. A Carlos Baldomir or Arturo Gatti/Diego Corrales fighter has no shot in hell at beating Floyd, let alone Antonio Margarito. Ricky Hatton is the only man I would give a reasonable shot at beating him, and I'm not even sure that shot is reasonable. I'd say that he'd be the most competitive, but he'd have to be in the best shape of his life and then would have to outperform himself by many multiples to be in there, because I can envision Mayweather shredding him up if Hatton slows his roll even the slightest.
