One thing to keep in mind... while pointing out all of these fighters in and around the Welter/LightWelter weight division it is good to notice that none of them really have been fighting eachother as of yet. Several are scheduled but just take a second to think how long it has taken for those... and how many are still left. So feel free to put some blame on Mayweather... but don't just turn a deaf ear to the rest of em'.

I think Floyds ego got to a point where it was so huge that he became afraid to lose and started going after easy fights instead of going out of his way to fight the best.Floyd pretty much wasted his best years fighting easy fights for big money.I blame alot of that on hbo to for shelling out money for that junk. The guys at hbo sports need to stop giving out those huge contracts. If guys like Roy and Floyd couldnt have made millions fighting alot of sub par comp in there primes they would have fought way better fighters.

Leonard, Hearns and all of them did stand toe-to-toe, but they were physically bigger than Floyd(who's only 5'8). Floyd doesn't have the power they do at 147. Also welterweight was their natural weight class.

I agree though Floyd shouldn't have done all that talking, but he was promoting that fight. Many fights have been said they were gonna be great and they were boring or whatever.

What did any of you expect anyway? Floyd to stand in front of Baldomir and get his ass hit with someone bigger than him. He's not gonna stand in front like Gatti and get KTFO.

wasn't the most entertaining of fights but it was no Juarez-Berrera 2.
Floyd showed that he's a great athlete, which is just what I expected.

mayweather is suffering from megalomania - an incurabe disease- affecting his bloated ego. the man believed he is the greatest and claimed to be one but he is way beyond the boxing greats. mayweather is not even worthy to be compared to leonard, hearns, duran, and hagler.

but to be fair, maybe mayweather is as great as prince naseem hamed!
