I think I'll be watching Showtime. There's a lot more riding on the outcome of those 2 fights than on the HBO card. For instance if Cotto loses, who would Quintana want next? Or if Margarito loses, would he still be ****ing around with Floyd? I'll be recording the HBO card while I watch the showtime card.

That's exactly what I'm thinking, and it's why I'll be glued to Showtime instead of HBO. If even one of them lose, the entire climate in that division is going to shift. I am picking Quintana to defeat Cotto though, and I think Margarito will get a split decision.

I think Cotto will lose the first 2-3 rounds and then watch him slowly break down Quintana. Someone here said Cotto isnt a natural WW? He comes into fights at around 155, so you tell me? Cotto by UD

Quintana only beat Joel Julio. The same one who almsot lost again not to long ago. Julio could not cut of the ring at all in that fight and Cotto is great at doing that. We'll see how it goes down. Should be a great night for boxing. Ill be taping the hbo card and watching that one right after. Can I trust showtime not to spoil it for me though? I hope so...

First off he's moving up in weight, 2nd Quintana is the bigger stronger man seeing as how he's a natural welter, 3rd Cotto has a glass chin, 4th look at Quintana's record the man can hit, 5th Cotto is not good defensively, and finally Quintana impressed me very much with his boxing ability and the clinic he inflicted on Joel Julio. I think, and I'm gonna get a lot of heat for saying this but, I think Quintana could beat Baldy, Margarito with a few more fights, and I think he could give Floyd the most run for his money besides Margarito in the WW division.
I believe Cotto will have a hard time against Q but not for the same reasons you point out, but because of his stamina. Make no mistake about it, Cotto is way stronger than Quintana and keeping those extra 7 pounds will only do him good. Quintana is not a big puncher but has enough pop to get anyone's respect, I don't think his power will be able check Cotto's chin at all. Another fact is that Cotto's coming out of hand surgery, his left and power hand. That could as well be a factor in the fight. I see Cotto wearing down Quintana and winning by late stoppage or UD. About Quintana been able to take on Margarito, he has a good chance style wise as Santos did, only that Quintana is a better boxer than Santos and has more stamina.
